Make peace, make dinner, make room.

I love finding new ways of asking old questions.

My music is guided by St. Augustine’s insight that “to sing is to pray twice.” As editor of the Rabbit Room, I am passionate about restoring community through the simple act of singing. My upcoming project explores the themes of desolation and consolation as experienced in today’s world, challenging listeners to “make peace, make dinner, make room.”

The record

Desolation and consolation are far from opposites. They have much in common: both are always unsolicited. Both leave us different than they found us. And extraordinarily, both provoke song. Psalms 22 and 23 stand side by side for a reason.
